Following the launch of IOI's State of Open Infrastructure report last month, IOI is organizing a series of community conversations to unpack the findings of the report. Each community conversation will feature a topic covered in a chapter of the report.
On June 18, 2024, IOI will host the first community conversation focussed on the Characteristics of Selected Open Infrastructures. Building on the 57 infrastructures in the current release of Infra Finder, IOI's new tool for open infrastructure discovery, the report chapter provides insights into these open infrastructures’ characteristics, including their governance, business form and finances, policies, community engagement, and technical attributes.
Facilitator Lauren Collister (IOI) will be discussing with the following speakers the key insights and questions from this investigation, and exploring future investigation directions:
- Gail Steinhart (IOI),
- Sarah Lippincott (Dryad),
- Bianca Kramer (Sesame Open Science),
- John Maxwell (Simon Fraser University).
Please register to join us for the community conversation on June 18, 2024 at 4pm UTC (in your time zone).
These calls will be recorded and the recording will be shared with all registrants within a week after the calls.
